The problem Isabel is facing is segregation.  Segregation is the separation of Caucasian and African American.  Today it is like gender discrimination in other countries.  In segregation, African Americans and Caucasians didn't have the same rights and Caucasians thought that they were better than African Americans.  To the present time, gender discrimination is the new slavery.  In some countries women don't have the same rights as men.  Men think they're so superior.  Women can't show their faces in some countries.  In the US, gender discrimination happened a long time ago.  Women couldn't vote!  But know a days, we all have equal rights.
