Hi I'm Kyla Lewis a 16 year old girl who lived in Springdale. Springdale was known for its vivid history. Around the year 1900, 5000 citizens were killed by a small epidemic of Pageovirus D-98. The Pageovirus caused its victims to think that they were animals and run wild around the raggedy town. To quarantine the infected, the Mayor ordered everyone infected to be locked up in the Springdale Prison. The Prison was dark and murky that had been vacant for the past 100 years.
they were about to tear it down before the outbreak. Eventually, the jail was filled with Pageovirus victims. 5 years after the disease broke out, the Springdale Jail was burnt down by their loved ones (for no reason) and never spoken about again. 10 years later, a school was built a top the ruins.
On June 12, 2014, the citizens of Springdale, crowded around the "Cochester Hall". Everyone in town was there, including me. I as some people say, am a very curios girl. I always have to know what was going on. This was an event that I could not miss. About 1 hour ago, a shrill shriek came from inside of the school. A call was made by Mrs. Gaffney who heard the scream. The police found out that everyone inside had gone insane. When I got there the police were taking some students to the "Springdale Asylum for the Mentally Ill". The students were twitching and saying things that didn't make sense. I could not resist a moment like this, so I decided to get some info on the scene.
"So what exactly happened," I asked a nearby officer.
"Well, about an hour ago, all the people in the building went crazy. The bad thing is, there are still some crazy people in the school. Those people are the people who went really psycho," said the officer, "Even I'm scared to go inside."
"Really! Have you found a cause," I asked.
"No, not yet. Most of the times it's a disease of something of the sort, but we just got the lab results and doesn't give the smallest hint of that so.." his voice trailed off.
"So what do you think it is that cause this sudden out burst," I asked.
"Well, at this point we don't know. We've tried everything possible, disease, poison and more. I mean what else is there to try," he asked.
"How about, maybe..." I said getting cut off.
"This is sort of like the incident of 1900," said an old lady.
For some reason, she looked familiar.
"The what," said the officer.
"Oh I forgot that people don't talk about it anymore. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Marissa Periwinkle and I live on the far side of the town," said the lady.
Her voice sounded so familiar.
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Periwinkle, I'm Sheriff Brown, now tell us your theory," said the officer.
She told us about how the town had caught the Pageovirus and about how the school was built upon the site.
"So you mean to say that you think that this place is haunted," the officer laughed.
"Yes, it could be your best lead now. I heard that your ideas had run dry," said Mrs. Periwinkle.
"Well, that is insane, ghost haunting a school," he laughed, "Hilarious!"
Mrs. Periwinkle looked un-amused at his childish behavior and casually strolled off. I decided to take off too, it was getting late and I had to get home.
"Excuse me," said a voice from behind me.
It was Mrs. Periwinkle.
"I didn't catch your name back there," she said.
"Oh I'm Kyla," I replied.
"Ok Kyla, you know that story I told you, well it's all true. My grandmother lived through the tragedy," Mrs. Periwinkle whispered.
"Really," I exclaimed
"I have proof," said Mrs. Periwinkle, "Wait a minute, is your grandmother Janet Lewis?"
"Yeah, that's my Nana," I replied.
"I'm you grandma's friend. Janet was a very brave lady. She risked her own life to save Springdale by warning people about the prophecy,"she said happily.
"What prophecy," I asked
"Oh dear, I forgot how little you know on the situation. Well, right after the tragedy, a well known prophet came into town to help the Mayor. When he was in a private meeting with the mayor, he told about the town's terrible fate. The future is gloomy, one special girl will bring light," she replied, "I believe that you might be the girl."
"What if I'm not the girl,"I asked.
"Does it matter, we can always try," she replied, very mysteriously.
"Well, I must be getting back home soon. My parents will be wondering where I am. How about we meet at the school tomorrow at 9," I asked.
"That sounds divine," she said, skipping off into the sunset.
Something just didn't seem right about Mrs. Periwinkle. She was nice and all, but everything about her seemed mysterious. At the end of our conversation it sort of got creepy. She started staring at me intensely as if she was trying to shoot lasers from her eyes at me, her breathing got heavier and her voice started cracking. All night, I was up debating weather or not to go meet her in the morning. Was she just a "Wacko" who escaped from the Asylum or an old lady who knew the truth behind . In the end, my adventurous side go the better of me. The next day at approximately 9:00 A.M., I arrived at the school to find Mrs. Periwinkle sitting on the bench in front of the school.
"I heard they abandoned the case last night," she said sadly.
"Oh really," I wondered.
"They had no other leads so they closed the case," she replied.
"So what were you thinking about the case," I asked.
"Well, if you're up for it, I was going to stay a night in the school," she replied.
Ohhh, this was risky, but I loved a great adventure. I needed to know the details. The anxiety was literally killing me!!!! Wait... This could also mean my death. I am only 16. I can't die young. Wait... But YOLO, I'll just get some advice from Ke$ha's "Die Young". But, but, but, but.
"Sure," I blurted.
"Oh perfect. I have everything set up. Just follow me," she said excitedly.
She casually walked into the building. It looked like a castle. There were painted glass windows and instead of lights candles lit the halls. The school was beautiful its self, but to be honest it was a real pigsty. The classroom doors were flung opened, revealing the in sides of the classrooms. Desks were turned over and papers were scattered across the floor.

Wasps
It was a bright day in Late September. The world looked like a cluster of red, yellow and orange. Wasps were buzzing. Erika and I were playing in the leaves when the mailman came. He dropped the mail off and moved onto Lauren's house.
"Race you to the mailbox," I challenged Erika, getting the mail is as important as good grades to her.
I bolted down the driveway.
"Hey no fair! You're faster than me," Erika yelled.
"To bad," I replied.
"Then I get to bring in half of the mail," Erika exclaimed.
"Fine," I said, giving in.
I opened the mail box and got the mail out. There's so much, I thought, looking at the pile of papers. I gave Erika half of the mail. Suddenly, I felt a sharp, burning pain in my arm. It felt as if someone lit a match and pressed it against my skin. I whacked my arm with the newspaper and started running. What in the world happened, I thought. That's when Erika made a stupid move. She ran back to the mailbox to close it. I looked back just in time to see her run screaming. There were around 30 wasps chasing her. Really Erika, really, was all that was going on in my mind. Erika ran inside just as the wasps stopped chasing her. I ran in behind her. She got 2 wasps stings. We had to get rid of the wasps, but how! Let’s throw a broom at it, I thought. I took my aim and threw it. I must’ve not been looking, because my broom landed in the bush!
"Ha, ha. You didn't hit it," Erika laughed.
Like you can do any better, I thought.
"Why don't you try," I dared Erika.
"I bet I can hit it," Erika declared.
"Be my guest," I said handing her the broom as if it was poison.
Erika took the broom and took her aim. She pulled it back and it slipped out of her hand and landed behind her. I erupted in laughter.
"And you thought you could hit it," I laughed.
I laughed so hard, it looked like I was having a spaz attack. After a lot of laughing, we decided to try something else. Erika decided to run up to the mailbox and start whacking it with a broom. That wasn't successful. She almost got another sting. Then I thought of the best idea. We needed to use teamwork. I got a can of bee repellent and sprayed it at the nest, just as Erika started whacking the mailbox with the broom. It worked. The hive fell to the ground.
"I hope there are no more wasps," said Erika, saying wasps as if it tasted bitter in her mouth.
After that day, I knew teamwork was crucial in bad situation. Without teamwork nothing could ever be accomplished. As an individual, we can't do much. But as a group, is there anything not within reach?.

But as a group, is there anything is within reach.

"Are we going to watch a movie," I asked Mr. Morowski.
"I'm going to put one in right now," he said, holding up a disk.
In a few minutes, we were watching Cheaper By the Dozen 2. It was a really good movie. It was about a family that had 12 kids (ages ranging from adulthood to, (I think) 5) They are having this mini competition against a rich family called the Murtaughs. After the movie, we went to a resp stop. We were a little past Sandusky, Ohio. I've been to Ohio a lot and know that their rest stops are really fancy. I also know that they have Starbucks. I knew everyone would want to go there, so I sped into the rest stop and got to Starbucks first.

I got a Vanilla Bean Frappaccino! After I ordered, the shop was crowded with 20 kids. After our 20 minutes off the bus, everyone was back on and ready to keep going. 2 hour later, we stopped at another rest stop in Pennsylvania for Lunch. There were so many choices! I knew I was running out of time, so I went to Popeye. It was really good. I loved it. Especially, because chicken is my favorite meat!
