Public Bathroom Sanitation

I can’t describe how disgusting they are!  Isn't it just so gross when you have to use a public bathroom?  Some people don't realize how many germs are lurking in the bathroom corners.  When you walk into the bathroom stall, does it ever hit you, how many people have sat on the toilet seat?  Most of bathrooms are poorly cleaned.  An average of 1 out of 3 people don't wash their hands after using a public bathroom!  How many people use public bathrooms a day!  There must be a gazillion germs in there!  Scientists have even found out the cleanest part of the public bathrooms are the toilet seats!  Isn’t that a shocker?  Think of all the commonly touched areas of the restroom. They must be teaming with germs.  The bathroom probably has more germs than there are people on earth!  Don’t be surprised because even a normal bathroom faucet has 6,272 bacteria per square inch.
The cause of these problems are us.  As I said before.  1 out of 3 people don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom.  It’s a choice, it’s not like we’re getting forced to leave the restrooms a mess!  Even flushing the toilet sprays millions of germs into the air, which is not something we can control, but can’t people just install covers to keep the germs from splashing out?  People leave the bathrooms a mess!  Public bathrooms are disaster zones.  It’s just carelessness!  Do you ever think to leave the bathroom as if you were the next person to use it?!  I mean, do you really want to use a bathroom that looks disgusting?  It feels like you never think about the person using the bathroom after you.  It also causes diseases to spread such as E-cōli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Streptococcus, etc.  This creates big problems for human health.  People could contract so many germs in a quick trip to the bathroom.

In conclusion, right now we can’t keep the public bathrooms totally clean, but we can do many simple things to help.  Such as washing your hands, making sure the stall looks as clean as if you were going to use it next, properly dispose all used sanitation items and flush after using the restroom.  Public restrooms can also install toilet lids to keep all the germs out of the air.  All these little things can keep you and other people safe in the bathroom.  Maybe in the future, we can even install self-cleaning toilets, but for now we can try our best and do these simple actions.
