Dear Diary,

I think I need to run.  Madame Lockton has sold Ruthie.  I can't bare to think about what troubles she's going through.  I can't even believe that Madame Lockton was so underhanded and made that delicious gingerbread and milk just to sneek Ruth away.  I knew there was somthing wrong about Madame Lockton being all nice.  I that delicious milk left a sour taste in my mouth.  I can't bare to look at Madame Lockton.  Let her sell me.  At least I won't have to dear with her anymore.  And she won't have to see my face ever again.

Yours Truly,
Isabelle

You know in the movie 'Frozen' how Prince Hans doesn't really like Princess Anna.  How does he sing 'Love is an Open Door'?  They sing things at the same timess and finish each others sentences.  I think maybe they do have a connection.  If they don't it's weird how they can be so in sync.

I can’t describe how disgusting they are!  Isn't it just so gross when you have to use a public bathroom?  Some people don't realize how many germs are lurking in the bathroom corners.  When you walk into the bathroom stall, does it ever hit you, how many people have sat on the toilet seat?  Most of bathrooms are poorly cleaned.

Describe the historical time period, according to the chapter.  What clues from this chapter support this time period.  How do the charecters talk, dress, act and/or think?  How does the setting
of the novel lend to your understanding of this time period.

In this chapter it feels like the time period during the 1700s or around the Revolutionary War.  It is because it talks about British Soldiers coming to the US, there are slaves and people are Patriots and Loyalists.  Madam also acts like a Loyalist, because it talks about how she was happy the British troups were arriving.  Isabelle seems like a slave because she's working for the Locktons and is thinking about escaping.  Madam acts like a mean self centered person.  She is like that because she doesn't bother on how other people are doing, she just cares about thing that will bother her.  Isabelle's thoughts make me think that she wants to run away, because when the British soldiers arrive, she thinks about running away.  The setting also tells me a little about the time period, because they never go to anywhere, or talk about any of the states that aren't part of the 13 colonies.  Lady Seymour and Madam Lockton act like slave owner.  Their differences are that Lady Seymour is nice but Madam Lockton is cruel.  Since there are slaves, slave owners, Patriots, Loyalists and British soldiers, it draws me to conclude that the time period is around the revolutionary war.

Have you ever realized your normal was dangerous?  In the book Insurgent by Veronica Roth, Tris realizes that the Erudite are hiding information.

Jeanine, the Erudite leader wants to find out how to put the Divergent under a simulation so they won't find out the information, that she uses a simulation that's injected into other Dauntless that aren't Divergent to scare the Divergent into going to her so she can experiment on them.  That morning the simultion makes 2 Dauntlesses, Marlene and Hector jump off the Daunless HQ.  Before they jump, they adress this message to the Divergent.

("This is not a negotiation.  It's a warning," says the simulation through Marlene, moving her lips and vibrating her throat. "Every two days until one of you delivers yourself to Erudite headquarters, this will happen again."

Marlene steps back...)

The Erudite want to get the Divergent under control because they have information the the Abnegation wanted to reveal until the Erudite attacked because the Erudite didn't want to reveal, so bad they station the Dauntless and Candor that are under their simulation infront of their HQ to guard it from the Dauntless that aren't under a simulation and the Divergent.  (Standing in four rows infront of us are a group of people, mostly dressed in black an white, spaced two feet apart, guns held up and ready.  I blink and the become simulation-controlled Dauntless in the Abnegation sector during the simulation attack.)

The Erudite want to keep the information secret so they're trying to make a simulation to control the people who know, so the information will never get out.  Jeanine is pleased that Tris came to be experimented on after the simulation took Marlene's life, because Tris is one of the most strong Divergent  ("I am very pleased that you, in particular, are here," says Jeanine.  She walks past me and perches on the table, her fingers curled around the edges."I am pleased, of course, because of your aptitude test result." Her blond hair, pulled tight to her skull, reflects the light, catches my attention.  "Even among Divergent, you are somewhat of an oddity, because you have an apptitude for three factions.  Abnegation, Dauntless and Erudite." "How..." my voice croak.  I push the question out. "How did you know that?" "All in a good time," she says.  "From your result I have ditermined that you are one of the strongest Divergent, which I say not to compliment you but explain my purpose.  If I am to develop a simulation that cannot be thwarted by the Divergent mind, I. must study the strongest Divergent mind in order to  shore up all weaknesses in the technology.  Understand?")

It rained so hard today.  It was right before my lacrosse game when we heard some thunder.  At first, I thought it was a garbage truck picking up the garbage, until I saw big grey clouds drifting towards the field.

"Are we going to have the game," my coach J.P. asked the referee.

"You can ask the other coach," said the referee, "Even if we have the game, you'll have to wait 30 min in case it rains."

I really wanted to play that game, but at the same time I didn't want to be zapped by lightning. I wondered what the coaches were talking about.  They were all huddled in a circle and mumbling.  I decided to pack up my stick because anyway we were moving.

"The game is cancelled," announced the coach, "Call your parents and wait in Berkshire."

Once I got to Berkshire, it started raining like bonkers.  It sounded like billions of tiny pebbles falling to the earth.  When I walked outside all the little rain drops massaged my scalp as I ran over to my mom's car.

On Wednesday, my grandparents came back from China and brought me many presents.  But my favorite has to be my folding fan.  I love how the tiny white spots lay scattered on the silky indigo fabric, creating an intricate design.  The beautiful indigo sticks, with a small design carved into it, of leaves and little hearts, hold up the pulchritudinous fabric.  When the fan is opened the sticks create  a beautiful spiral.  The jet black rivet holds the fan together as the thick, strong guards protect the delicate sticks from bending and breaking.  Together, it creates a gorgeous folding fan.

My mother was as pale as a ghost and as skinny as a pole.  I didn't even recognize her.  She used to be so cheerful, lean and healthy.  Now she was lying in a hospital bed, dying of leukemia.  I stared into her blank glassy eyes, as the doctor came in.

"Hello Anne, and you must be Anne's daughter, I'm Dr. Smith," his voice a little tight, "I have some bad news.  The leukemia is getting stronger.  You have a 10% chance of surviving through the night."

Those words barreled into me so hard, I couldn't breathe.  My mother, had a 10% chance of living throught the night.  When the doctor left, I ran to her side.

"Mom, it's going to be all right.  You can get through this.  I know you can," I said forcing back tears.

She stared into my eyes and said in a soft, hoarse whisper, "It'll be all right.  I will be with you no matter what.  In heaven or on earth."

"But mom, I don't want you to go," I said, tears streaming down my face.

"Ellie, it'll be all right.  If I go, remember 'Life is priceless, don't waste a second because you never know when It'll end'," said mom.

"I can't live without you," I cried.

"Honey," she started.

"Wh-what if you forget about me and dad," I asked.

"Honey, how could I forget you.  You're my baby.  I'll never forget you," she said.

"I don't want you to go," I begged.

"It's the circle of life.  Your born, you suffer, you achieve, then you die," she said.

"I love you mom," I said.

"I love you too," she said.

"Thank you mom," I said.

She closed her eyes and never woke up again.  I cried until I felt like I had no more tears to cry.  She was my everything.  She gave me life, she even saved me, by giving me one of her kidneys when my kidneys collapsed.  "Thank You" could not describe how thankful I was to have a mother like her.

''Let it Go'' from frozen is such a popular song that they have made it in so many languages!  Chinese, German, French, Italian etc.  I didn't know until now, that when a song is in a defferent language, they have to change the words a little to make it sound right.  It's cool how they made "Let it Go" in so many languages.  Here are some:

I think Meryl Davis is going to win DWTS because she's the best dancer.  Last week she got an 80/80. I think Amy is going to get 2nd because she is a good dancer but not as good as Meryl.  James is going to get 3rd becausee he's the 3rd best.  And lastly Candace will fall into 4th, because she's the lowest scoring dancer in the final 4.

I love watching Dancing with the Stars, but when Charlie White was eliminated, I was angry.  He was one of the best dancers.  The week before, he even got a perfect score!  I wonder how he was eliminated.  I think it's because he didn't get many votes.  My theory, is that skating fans gave most of there votes to Meryl because if Meryl didn't get any votes she would be eliminated.   Once Meryl got all their votes, Charlie White didn't have enough.

5 Reasons to do Forensics

1. Did you know one of the thing adults fear most is public speaking:
http://www.phobia-fear-release.com/top-ten-phobias.html
http://www.selfhelpcollective.com/top-10-fears.html

2. Forensics is really fun to do.

3. You can express yourself in your piece.

4. It's fun to see what you can come up with. (Acting) (or piece if you wrote it)

5. When you pick your piece, you can pick who you want to be.

Last night I went to the Forensics Showcase at BCS.  I was a smidge nervous, but really excited.

"Hurry up," I yelled at my dad.

"Ok, just wait for Erika," he replied.

The 7 minutes it took me to get to school were filled with excitment.  I felt like I would just blow up.  Finally when we parked, I ran outside and skipped to the building.  Following behind me were my parents and sister.  I skipped all the way to the library.  At first, we thought no one was there, but then we saw a ton of people seated in chairs.  The first thing I did was ask Mrs. Bassett, our forensics coach where to put my stool.  Then I went into the video production room where everyone was.

I met an alien king once.  I, Johnny Gregus, was just playing my banjo on my porch when I saw him.  He looked like a big blob of green, with 2 stubby arms and legs, 3 eyes and a wide smile-ish frown.  The alien king also wore a shimmering cape that dragged behind him.  He would just dwell around the same spot for the last 123456789 seconds.

“Salutations, I am King Momo for the Galactic Nebula.  I am on Project Relief.  Have you seen a golden, cryptic cloud apricot by any chance?” he said.

“Am I understanding you correct?   You are King Momo of the Galactic Nebula doing Project Relief and you are looking for a golden, cryptic cloud apricot?” I asked.

“Yes sir,” he replied.

“Nope,” I said.

“Darn, if only my sweetheart could get it and turn it into a spice.  That nasty dragon won’t leave until he gets it,” he said.

“I’ll help you,” I said, not wanting to be rude.

“Great!  We’ll start at dusk.  The apple only glows at dusk,” he said skipping away.

Before I went to bed, I set my alarm clock to 12:00 A.M.  However, the mere anticipation of what may happen kept me up all night.  But once the clock ticked 11:30 P.M., I was fallen fast asleep.  A ding awoke me.  It was the alarm clock.  I dressed quickly in a sweat suit and ran outside.  The alien was already waiting outside for me.

“Greetings,” he said, “I have found a better way to get the golden, cryptic cloud apricot.  We only have to find the many ingredients!  I would like to start our search on Norptine.”

All of the sudden, my surroundings started swirling.  In a blink, we were on top of a mountain.

Moderator: Good day Mr. Hutchinson and Mrs. Warren.  We are here to discuss weather or not the 13 Colonies should declare independence from England.

Thomas Hutchinson argument #1: Well to start, I think that the colonist can't govern them selves, much less survive without Great Britain.

Moderator: Good point, and you Mrs. Warren?

Mercy Ottis Warren argument #1: I disagree completely, Great Britain raises the taxes much to high, making the colonist pay much more than Great Britain does.

Moderator: Mr. Hutchinson, you're a govenor.  What's your sight on that?

Thomas Hutchinson argument #2: I think just like the colonist rampaged my home.  They are un-capable of governing them selves, and are to immature.

Moderator: Well Mrs. Warren seems pretty mature.  She is a poet and wrights her complaints through letters instead of rampaging loyalists houses.

Mercy Ottis Warren argument #2: Yes, I do try to be mature. Plus, we can definitely govern ourselves. If our tyrant like King can do it, we can definitely do it.

Moderator: How do you see that comment Mr. Hutchinson?

Thomas Hutchinson argument #3: I think that no one especially women, should comment on there giver of money, clothing, and shelter like that. It is punishable by death, and if she passes on, that just means 1 less enemy for us!

Moderator: Well, there is no saying no to that!

Mercy Ottis Warren argument #3: Actually there is. Patriots like myself should not have to pay such high taxes on British goods like tea, when Great Britain is enjoying tea for a lot less.

Moderator: You both had great debates. I wish you both luck in the upcoming arguments.  Farewell.
