The Golden Fish

Once there lived a man and his wife. Since the man was a fisherman they did not suffer from hunger. One day he was fishing he cast his net into the ocean, and caught nothing. He cast his net again, but only caught one fish but it was golden. The fish started talking it said, “If you put me back into the ocean I will give you 3 wishes.” The man said, “Wish one I want you on a dinner tray fried next to steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and fish pie.” So the fish was “delish” but there was no more wish. Most of us live happily ever after. (Well, except maybe the fish.)

Monday Writing 5min: Dress Rehearsal 1

Monday:
Today I had a dress rehersal for a play I'm in called Annie.  When I got there I put on my costume, make up and did my hair.  Once everyone got dressed Mrs. Stephanie told me I would get miced.  Ausin clipped the mic receiver on my tights and put the mic around my head.  All of the main orphans and adult roles got miced.  Then we started a run through.

My Published Piece: Doggy Diaster

"Race all of you to Lauren's yard!" That was my call for my friends, Lauren, Lexi, my little sister Erika, and I to start running.
I was the first  to get there. That's when Lauren suggested we play with her dog Hershey.
"Will Hershey attack us?" asked Erika
"No she won't." Lauren replied. So we all climbed over the fence except Erika.
"Erika are you coming or not?" asked Lexi.          Erika hesitated for a bit then pulled herself over the fence.  Once we were all in the yard Hershey bound for us.  Swiftly I put my hand to the top to the 3 foot high fence and jumped over Oh my god that was so scary I thought.  Lauren hopped over the fence to calm Hershey down so we could go back in.
"It's all right you can come in." yelled Lauren.
We all went back over the fence and this time Hershey was calm.
"Lauren can you go get her ball?" I asked
"Sure just hold on to her collar so she won't run around and scare Erika"
I walked over to grab her collar.  In a few seconds Lauren was back with a ball just bigger than my fist.  She handed me the ball and I threw it across the yard.  Then she let go of the collar and Hershey as fast as lightning bolted off for it.  We through it again and again.  Since Lauren had done this before she got easyly bored.  That's when Lexi picked up the ball and through it.  Instead of going for the ball Hershey just sat there.  Lexi walked over and gave Hershey a little kick.  Then out of the blue Hershey leaped up, fastened her teeth on Lexi's shirt and pulled her to the ground.  I stood there frozen thinking about 2 weeks back.  It was a snowy winter morning, I was walking over to Lauren's house with Erika to ask her to play.  As I took my 7th step into Lauren's yard out of nowhere Hershey lunged for me.  I screamed as Hershey fastened her teeth on my coat almost bitingv my ear.  Lauren came running out and took Hershey to the backyard.
"Help me Vivian!!!  Get her off of me!!" Lexi yelled yanking me out of my daydream.        I dashed over to Lexi and grabbed Hershey's collar to let Erika and Lexi get out of the yard.  Phew that was a close one I thought but then I noticed to eyes as dark silky full of anger staring at me.
     "AAAAAHHHHHHH!" I screamed.
I ran around the yard while Hershey was right behind me with her mouth full of sharp yellow teeth wide open.  I took a quick detour through a bush and jumped over the fence.  I checked my self for any injuries and found none.
"Lexi are you okay?" I asked, but I didn't need her to reply to notice 3 bloody scratches on her arms.
I ran into my house to get a first aid kit.  When I came out I cleaned Lexi's wounds and bandaged them.  After this incident we all learned that we should never force a dog to do anything.

Lauren told me walking away.  Lexi picked up the ball and through it.  Instead of going for the ball Hershey went for Lexi.  Hershey attacked Lexi.  I stood there frozen thinking about 2 weeks back.  It was a snowy winter morning, I was walking over to Lauren's house with Erika to ask her to play.  As I took my 7th step into Laurens yard out of nowhere Hershey lunged for me.  I screamed as Hershey fastened her teeth on my coat almost biting my ear.  Lauren came running out and took Hershey to the backyard.  Then I stopped thinking about that and jumped into action.  I dashed over to Lexi and grabbed Hershey's collar to let Erika and Lexi get out of the yard.  Phew that was a close one I thought but then I noticed to eyes filled with anger staring at me.  "AAAAAHHHHHHH!" I screamed.  I ran around the yard Hershey, her mouth wide open ready to bit me at my feet.  I took a quick detour through a bush and jumped over the fence.  I checked my self for any injuries and found a bloody scratch on my arm It's nothing I thought walking Lauren, Lexi and Erika.

Dog Attack

"Race all of you to Lauren's yard!" I yelled to everyone.  I sprinted all the way to Lauren's house, the little blades of grass brushing against the tips of my shoes.  "I won!" I yelled "Hey do you guys want to play with Hershey?" Lauren said "Will Hearshy attack us?" asked Erika "No she won't." Lauren replied. Lauren was the first to climb over the fence, second was Lexi, then me.  "Erika are you coming or not?" asked Lexi.  Erika hesitated for a bit then pulled herself over the fense.  Once we were all in the yard Hershey bound for us.  Swiftly I put my hand to the top to the 3 foot high fence and jumped over.  Everyone made it out unharmed.  Then Lauren hopped over the fence to calm Hershey down.  "It's all right you can come in." yelled Lauren.  We all went back over the fence and this time Hershey was calm.  "Lauren can you go get her ball?" I asked "Sure just hold on to her collar so she won't run around and scare Erika." Lauren said waiting for me to grab th collar.  I walked over to grab her collar.  In a few seconds Lauren was back with a tennis ball.  She handed me the ball.  I threw it far.  She let go of the collar and Hershy as fast as lightning bolted off for it.  We through it again and again.  "I'm bored.  I'll be sitting in your backyard on the swing." Halloween

"I'm about to explode!" I thought to myself.  "Vivian are you ready to go to Lauren's house." my mom yelled from upstairs "Yeah!" I yelled.  My mom came down to the kitchen to get the dumpling to take to Lauren's.  "I'm ready!" Erika said skipping into the room.  My mom got the dumplings on to a tray and we walked next door to Lauren's house.  At Lauren's house Lauren greated us at the front door.  "Want to see the dead dear head in my backyard?" she asked "Sure" I said.  Lauren lead me to her backyard where she showed me a dear head eyes open and a white tounge sticking out.

Louisiana

We were at New Orleans, Louisiana.  My Mom, Dad, Little sister Erika and I were at our hotel room getting ready to go sight seeing in New Orleans.  I was most exited to go to Parakeet Point at Audobon Aquarium of the Americas.  First we went to a little Louisianian resturant for breakfast.  I ordered an alligator sausage and scrambled eggs, Erika ordered grits, ham and eggs, my mom ordered a biscut, ham and eggs and my dad ordered cajun alligator sausages and eggs.  The sausages and eggs were delish.  Once we finished eating we took a walk to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas.  On our way we saw alot of shops and heared Louisianian music.  We bought tickets to get in.

Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt

We were getting signed into Adventure Ocean on the navigator of the seas"Have fun!" said my parents as they left Adventure Ocean (the kids club on the ship).  My sister Erika and I washed our hands and took off our shoes.  "Hey everybody, today we are going to go on a scavenger hunt." said Marshmallow an Adventure Ocean counselor "Get your shoes on." Everyone got their shoes on and Marshmallow lead us out of the room.  "Our first clue is 'This is where I go to lift bags of my treasure and get stronger.'" said Cookie reading off of a little card that said “clue 1” another Adventure Ocean counselor.  "The place where people work out on the 12th floor." said Erika.  We got into the elevator to go to the 12th floor.  Once we were on the 12th floor we went to the small gym.  "Now we have to find another clue in here." said Marshmallow.  We searched through all of the equipment but didn't make a mess.  "I found it." Brianna yelled.  "It says 'My crew and I like to watch pirate movies here.'" said Marshmallow "It's the movie theatre." said Jack. We went down to the movie theatre and I found the clue in a chair.  “The clue says ‘This place has all of the pictures my mate and I took’” said Cookie “Sound like the picture place.” said Michelle.  We got into the elevator and headed to the picture room.  In the picture room we were not allowed to move the pictures because they belong to someone else.  “I found it.” said Seth.  It was put right in front of a picture.  "The clue says 'In here you will find the treasure there are ships and kids here.'" said Cookie.  This clue was hard suddenly "The Aquanauts room!" said Hailey.  We marched into the Aquanauts room where they were telling stories.  And there was the treasure chest.  In the chest were Adventure Ocean backpacks filled with a water bottle, an Inky and two chocolate coins.  What an Adventure!

Snorkeling

Snorkeling

The wind whipped my hair around as we sat on a speed boat to go snorkeling.  Listening to the boat crew's snorkeling safety lecture, I put on my shiny pink snorkel mask.  I looked over to my dad, who was getting two life jackets.  "We have reached the snorkeling point the crew will help you into the water.  Don't swim too far from the boat in case of an emergency." said the captain from the speakers.  "Ready to go Vivian?"asked my dad "Super Ready!" I said happily.  The crew had changed into their bathing suits and now were in the water to assist us.  My dad and a crew member helped me climb into the water.  The water was icy cold it took a while for me to get used to the cold water.  Once I got used to the water there was a stinging sensation in my knee I knew at once that it was my scab responding to the salt in the ocean water but I didn't care.  I put my snorkeling mask on and put the tube in my mouth.  Then I put my face in to the water.  It was a beautiful sight.  All of the colorful fish were swimming around the coral.  In a school of fish was one of the crew members.  He was swimming in circles and feeding the fish.  He swam over to me and gave me some food for the fish.  I watched as little fish the size of a medicine pill swan over to get the food.  In a few second the school of fish had eaten the food.  Another crew member was swimming around doing tricks.  I swam over to a small coral reef and saw sea turtles and a stingray swimming around some brain coral.  BEEP, BEEP, went the boat.  That was the signal that we had to get on board.  It was an amazing time and I hope to go back.
